Website privacy notice

Version 2026-10-05 — effective 5 October 2026. A professional legal review is planned; any changes will be published here as a new version, with notice as described under "Shopify app and changes".

This notice covers the Momentburst website and beta-request form. It replaces the version effective 3 October 2026. The Momentburst Shopify app has its own privacy policy.

Who is responsible

Ted Cane trading as Momentburst ("we", "us") is responsible for personal information collected through this website. We are contactable by email only: write to support@momentburst.com about this notice or to exercise your rights.

Beta requests

The form asks for your name, shop homepage URL and email address. We use these to assess and respond to your request for founding-store or beta access. We also record when your request was received so it can be deleted on schedule. Providing these details is optional, but we cannot respond through the form without them. A request does not reserve a founding place, install the app, start a paid subscription or subscribe you to a newsletter.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to requests that people choose to send us and arranging access to the service. We use only the information necessary for that purpose. You can object to this use or ask us to delete your request by emailing the address above. No information from this form is added to Klaviyo or used for automated marketing emails.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare hosts the website and stores form requests in its D1 database. Connections use HTTPS. There is no public endpoint for listing or exporting requests, and the application does not log form contents. Access to the hosting account is restricted to the operator. Cloudflare may process connection information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect its services; this is separate from the form fields stored by Momentburst.

Cloudflare operates internationally, including in the United States. Its contractual data processing and international-transfer protections are described in its Data Processing Addendum, including safeguards for UK transfers. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data. We do not promise that all website data stays within the UK or EU.

The website does not use advertising pixels, analytics cookies or third-party font services. Browser preferences for animation are used locally. Following a link to Shopify, Klaviyo or another website brings you under that service's own privacy notice.

How long we keep requests

Form records are eligible for deletion 90 days after their original submission. A daily cleanup normally removes them within a further 24 hours; resubmitting the same email does not extend the original record's lifetime. Cloudflare's recovery history can retain a deleted record for up to seven more days. Restored data is checked against the deletion schedule before use. We investigate failed cleanup jobs rather than treating a failed run as a completed deletion.

If you choose to continue a conversation by email, we use that correspondence to handle your enquiry, then keep it for up to 2 years for our records unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Email sent to support@momentburst.com is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our Gmail mailbox, which Google provides under its standard terms and privacy policy. A later merchant relationship is covered by the app's privacy policy. We do not use a beta request as permission to retain customer-order data indefinitely.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict processing, object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. These rights have conditions and exceptions. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request, and normally respond within one month. Contact support@momentburst.com first so we can help. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

We do not sell beta request information or make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing. We may disclose information if required by law.

Shopify app and changes

This website is accepting expressions of interest before general availability. Its form does not connect to your Shopify store or collect shopper order data. The Momentburst Shopify app is covered by its own privacy policy, merchant terms and data processing agreement. We will publish any change to this notice here as a new version and explain material changes where appropriate.
